Hello Pack 511!!!
This upcoming Saturday, April 20, the Pack will be visiting the San Jacinto Monument. We will be going on a hike that will earn the Scouts a special badge, the San Jacinto Battleground Award. I am planning on starting the hike at noon, but be prepared to arrive early to find parking – Saturday will be a busy day at the Monument because they are also having a San Jacinto Day Celebration which starts at 10:00 am and includes reenactments, living history activities, and lots of fun stuff to see and do. The hike starts at the Monument, so we will meet on the steps just before noon. Please have your Scout wear their full Class A uniform and comfortable shoes. Bring a filled water bottle, something to snack on, and sun protection, and be ready for fun!!! Reach out to me on GroupMe if you have any questions.
